Deuteronomy 6: 12–15; “Be careful that you do not forget the Lord, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

Fear the Lord your God, serve Him only and take your oaths in His name. Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you; For the Lord your God, who is among you is a jealous God and His anger will burn against you, and He will destroy you from the face of the land.”

These verses of the bible say it all. Why provoke God? It is not even beneficial to you as a person.  Why give the glory that belongs to God to another? Why withhold the glory of God?

You may be doing this out of ignorance, why don’t you make a halt and turn back now?

Even when people around you serve other gods, you are not to join them. Remember you are not of the world. Remember you are the light of the world. You role is to be an example of God’s goodness by your thoughts , words and actions.

So when people around you are serving other god’s, please hold on to God and keep serving God in Spirit and in truth meaning you tell yourself the truth and also tell God the truth; stand on the truth of God’s words. Serve God by the leading’s and direction of the Holy Spirit of God.

Be mind full of God that you do not forget Him or His precepts, status and that He commands you to do because in Him is life.

Serve God only as that is the reason He created you. Serve Him as He wants you to not as you want to.

It is in serving God that you get and receive blessings from God. It is in true service to God that you receive rich rewards from God that runs eternally or generationally.

Let’s talk about Abraham; think about “the Abraham blessings” it flow from generation to generation, from Israel to all parts of the world because God blessed Him and said, “I will give you many descendants, and they will become a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, but I will curse those who curse you. And through you I will bless all the nations.”

Till today, God is still blessing all nations.

Another thing you must know is that there are blessings attached to obeying God.

Deuteronomy  28: 1–13 says; “If you obey the Lord your God and faithfully keep all His commands that I am giving you today, he will make you greater than any other nation on earth.

Obey the Lord your God and all these blessings will be yours: the Lord will bless your towns and your fields. The Lord will bless you with many children, with abundant crops, and with many cattle and sheep.

The Lord will bless your corn crops and the food you prepare from them. The Lord will defeat your enemies when they attack you. They will attack from one direction, but they will run from you in all directions.

The Lord our God will bless the work and fill your barns with corn.

He will bless you in the land that He is giving you.

If you obey the Lord your God and do everything He commands, he will make you His own people as He has promised. Then all the earth will see that the Lord has chosen you to be His own people, and they will be afraid of you. The Lord will give you many children, many cattle, and abundant crops in the Land that He promised your ancestors to give you. He will send rain in season from His rich store house in the sky and bless all your work, so that you will lend to many nations, but you will not have to borrow from any. The Lord your God will make you the leader among the nations and not a follower; you will always prosper and never fail if you obey faithfully all His commands that I am giving you today.

The fulfillment of God’s promises comes when you start obeying God faithfully.
