The enemy does not have much power over us except the one that we let him have. The enemy can only get to us in the minds when we give him a chance. The mind is the battle ground.
2 Corinthians 10:5 “we pull down every proud obstacle that is raised against the knowledge of God, we take every thought captive and make it obey Christ.”
One way the enemy attack is by sending our minds images of things that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. The end point of anything that comes from the devil is to lead us astray, lead us against the knowledge of God, making us disobey or rebel against God or both.
All these images from the devil leads to negative imagination. They are obstacle that must be removed. The entry point is the thoughts. If the enemy succeeds in getting us to think of it, he then succeeds in getting us to think of it, he then starts painting the picture, next is our thought thereby distorting our reality.
Therefore we must take every negative thought into captivity for they are the enemy’s seeds. We must consciously choose the way of God to pull down the negative thoughts before they breed negative imaginations. For our minds are renewed and transformed by God’s words. As we consciously and constantly cling to the word of God and let the spirit of God lead us, we are turned off from the negative imaginations, as God words is planted in our hearts. As the word of God grows in our minds, positive imaginations which honour God and are good for humanity springs from within, replacing the negative imaginations
The written word of God is very powerful but we must mix it with our faith in God for it to be highly effective.
Ephesians 6:16 “all times carry faith as a shield, for with you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the Evil one.”
