God is provider. Let me start today by taking on this bible verse, Genesis 22:13–14; “Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son.
So Abraham called that place The Lord will provide. And to this day it is said, “on the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”
Sometimes you find God laying the burden to take certain actions. You know and are certain it is God but yet there is no readily available the resources which you can do what God wants you to do.
In a situation like this you may not know what to do. You may find yourself feel helpless. Take a look at Abraham’s situation for yes he was childless, God latter gave him a child, his own child from his own wife. In a situation like this, Abraham may have felt helpless, not knowing what to do.
In the mist of all these, he still took the step of faith. When you find yourself in a situation like this, God is checking for your willingness to obey Him. When you step out to obey, you will see God provide the resources. When you are willing in your mind to obey God, God does His own part by supplying all you need. O God, the provider. All these steps must be taken by faith; when you have faith in God, faith that God will provides, that God will do what He said He will do; you provide a conducive atmosphere for God to perform His works.
Abraham didn’t have to sacrifice his only child from his wife. His son’s question didn’t stop him. Just when he was about to kill his son, God called out to him by His angel not to touch the boy and showed him a ram caught by its horns which he is to use for the sacrifice.
Sometimes when God puts you in tough situation, He is checking your willingness to obey Him. He is not expecting you to commit that sin.
Abraham was a man of faith. Because of Abraham’s willingness to obey God, God was willing to sacrifice His only begotten son our Lord Jesus Christ, whom by His blood shed on the cross of Calvary saved the entire humanity.
Abraham sacrificed a ram instead of his son, but for his willingness God sacrificed His only begotten son who in the book of Revelation is the spotless lamb that was slain, who alone is worthy to unseal the scroll. The great provider
How willing are you to obey God? How willing are you to do what God wants you to do? How willing are you to take the step God wants you to take? How willing are you to take that act of faith God has been laying in your mind to take?
Do you know that if you willingness is without faith in God and His words concerning the direction He has given you, then your willingness is empty?
Have faith in what God has told you. Sometimes when God speaks, it is difficult to have faith because you find yourself looking at the situation, comparing the situation to what God is saying and then checking out or weighing the possibilities. You find yourself asking “how can O Lord?” “How Lord!”
Remember, it is not wrong to ask questions. When you find yourself in a situation like these chances are that unbelief will creep in, say: “God I believe, help my unbelief” pray with it. Read up words of God, testimonies that will boost or help your faith grow.
God’s still accomplishes. His spoken word created the whole world, so when He speaks, He has done it all, you only have to ask God to open your eyes to see, because as He speaks the blessings and resources that will bring about the accomplishment of what He has said are released. All you need at this juncture is total and complete obedience to God and His constant direction.
When He stops speaking then wait, else you give the devil a chance.
And to these add active faith to God’s words. It is not that doubt will not creep in. Each time you find yourself doubting, ask God for a faith boost. And while waiting for Him to speak to give you direction, do other good things, which are not against or antagonizing the direction God is leading you, else you create hindrances for yourself which will also cause delay. Do you know God’s name for provider.
