Colossians 2:6–7; (As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.)
Rejoice and be glad in the Lord. Keeping thanking God. Cultivate the attitude of being grateful to God.
One of the reasons why David in the bible was a man after God’s own heart was that he knew the importance of praising – singing unto God with music. He always worshipped and praised God no matter what happened. Even in difficult moments, he praised God.
Giving thanks to God attracts God’s mercy. Give thanks to God for He is good. God is filled with so much goodness that we cannot praise Him enough for all He has been doing for us or will ever do for us.
When we become praiseful towards God, we become victorious. The stings of death are broken.
The victory we have in Christ Jesus is made manifest. Now when we yield to the spirit of God we become more than conqueror. When the enemy wants to steal, kill or destroy, it first first of all distracts you from praising and worshipping God. This way complaining and murmuring comes in, therefore the atmosphere is set for the enemy to steal, kill or destroy.
When we continue and persist in praising and thanking God, the forces of darkness is conquered, therefore the enemy cannot operate.
1 Thessalonians 5:18; tells us that (In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.)
If praising and giving thanks are not important, it would not be the will of God that we should praise Him.
To your praising and giving thanks to God add prayer. Pray without ceasing, pray in tongues, pray with faith in God and you will see the enemy run away. You will become victorious in Christ.
