Holy And Acceptable Offering
Holy And Acceptable Offering

One may wonder, what is a holy and acceptable offering? Let’s look at it from two different perspectives.
Matthew 22:36 ( teacher, what is the most important commandment in the law? Jesus answered love the lord your God, with all your heart, soul and mind. This is the first and most important commencement. The second most important commandment is like it: and it is ‘Love others as much as you love yourself’.)
At times we may wonder why God seems to prefer one over the other. Why would God prefer the Abel offering than that of Cain?
When our heart is centered on love, pure love without wrong motives towards God and towards our fellow men our offering to God and to man becomes holy and acceptable before God.
Love is the vehicle of faith and hope Everything is created by God’s words and out of love He placed man in dominion over it all. This also applies to man. When we carry out any action out of pure love from God and for our fellow men, we please God, one sure way to show love to our God almighty, above whom there is no other is to love your neighbor as you love yourself, for if you love our neighbor as you love yourself, you will neither permit wrong motives nor evil to incubate within. If it does not come from within it cannot get to without (The environment).
Another way to offer a holy and acceptable offering unto God is to Obey God.
Leviticus 10: 1–2 “Aron’s sons, Nadah and Abihim, each took his fire pan, put live coals in it, added incense, and presented it to the Lord. But this fire was not holy because the lord had not commanded them to present it “ suddenly the Lord sent fire, and it burned them to death there in the presence of the Lord”. God prefers obedience to sacrifice. Obeying God is a key to God’s love. One way to know your heart is with God is when you constantly seek to obey God in words and actions, inwardly and outwardly. Obeying God not minding what is involved or what it will cost.
