2 Peter 2:5; “God did not spare the ancient world, but brought the flood on the world of the godless people, the only one he saved were Noah, who preached righteousness, and seven other people”
Just like Noah we can be obedient to God. It requires faith to obey God. It was the obedience of Noah that saved him and others who were saved along with him.
If the ancient world had done what was right before God, if they had obeyed, they would be saved.
Noah lived in fellowship with God. He had no faults. It is possible that we live this way. We can all live in fellowship with God. We can all be faultless before God. Through Noah’s obedience to God humanity was preserved.
Genesis 8:21 “ the odour of sacrifice pleased the Lord and He said to Himself, “ never again will I put the earth under a curse because of what man does, I know that from the time he is young his thoughts are evil. Never again will I destroy all living beings, as I have done this time.”
The sacrifice of Noah pleased the Lord and for his sake God pleased humanity with time for planting and time for harvest. He refrained his anger.
In this age and all that has been happening what kind of Christians do we want to be? It requires individual and collective efforts. Who do we choose to obey God or the desires of the flesh which produces wickedness, godlessness, violence?
We can choose to be another Noah, we can choose to obey God and live in fellowship with Him. Our choice determines God’s response. Choose to be on the Lord’s side now
