By meditation we are talking about consciously taking your heart off everything else and dwelling it on the word of God alone on the key scripture you have chosen to dwell your mind upon, repeating it to yourself either by murmuring, silently or aloud, thinking about the scripture, and acting on the word of God, it is very important to add faith and meaning to the practice of meditating on the word of God.
The bible always encourages us to mediate on the word of God. Joshua 1:8, “ This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall mediate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will have a good success”
Meditating on the word of God helps us understand better the word of God and prepares us for any situation that comes our way. As we meditate on the word of God, it gets clearer to us what God’s will is
Meditating on God’s words is not something one should do just once, it is an act that must be done repeatedly. The more you do it the better you become at it.
When we meditate on what the word of God it becomes easier for us to pick the prompting of God within. The spirit of man grows positively by feeding on the word of God.
We are created in the image and likeness of God but most times we find out that we are too far away from being what looks like the “image and likeness of God”.
Whatever the heart of man focuses on grows in his life. In this case, when we consciously choose to focus on the word of God, the word of God grows in our mist.
While focusing on the word of God it is better to go by the leading of the Holy Spirit of God, who counsels and teaches us in our hearts
