1John 2:15; “Do not love the world or anything that belongs to the world. If you love the world, you do not love the father”.

No one can serve two masters at the same time, you will love one more than the other. We cannot love God and the world equally. You can love God and forget about the world – the cares of life, the deceitfulness of riches, lust of the flesh, and lust of the eyes. If we claim to love God, we will live by faith and seek his kingdom. We ought to walk by faith and not by sight. He who asks of God must believe in him and that he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him. Practical faith requires work. Faith without work is dead. We work in obedience to God’s will, believing in Jesus Christ his begotten son towards that which God wants to achieve in our life.

Now to cultivate the practice of faith, we do not have to be readers of the word of God. The word of God must be meditated upon constantly. The word of God must live in us. We must be guarded by God’s strength. He words of God are life and spirit. To practice the word of God you have to embrace God and the word of God. Trust him and believe in him.

Ephesians 2:10; “God has made us what we are, and in our union with Christ Jesus he has created us for a life of good deeds, which he has already prepared for us to do”
