Ephesians 4: 26 – 27; “If you become angry, do not let your anger lead you to sin, and do not stay in anger all day.27Don’t give the enemy a chance”
There is nothing wrong with getting angry except that prolonged anger leads to unforgiveness. Once there is unforgiveness within, the enemy has got a chance. Once forgiveness overcomes unforgiveness the enemy has lost a chance. Unforgiveness creates the burden of bitterness, grudges, offence, anger, hatred, murder. As long as these vice are within, the power of God cannot flow. The enemy then ceases the opportunity to cause problems.
As long as we refuse to forgive we cannot obtain forgiveness from God. You must let go to set yourself free. Once there is unforgiveness, the person to be attacked by the enemy is the person who has the unforgiveness inside of him. The enemy will do anything to make sure that the unforgiveness is constantly stirred up so that evil operations can continue. But fear not for Christ has overcome the world.
Colossians 3:13 — 14; “Be tolerant with one another and forgive one another whenever any of you has a complaint against someone else. You must forgive one another just as the Lord has forgiven you. 14And to all these qualities add love, which binds all things together in perfect unity”.
When it is difficult to forgive, this is what you must do; ask God for help and confess your sins.
