The Sign Of Jonah
The Sign Of Jonah

Have you ever read about Jonah and fish? Can you recall the story of how Jonah found himself in the belly of a whale when he had in mind of running away from delivering the message? God wanted him to deliver the message to the people of Nineveh. Jonah did something tremendous, he prayed to God from the belly of the fish and God delivered him. He tabled his prayer and supplication to God with thanksgiving. He no longer observed the lying vanities. Therefore the mercy of God came to his rescue. In the voice of thanksgiving he paid his vowed. God delivered him by speaking his word to the fish, which then vomited Jonah.

Matthew 12:39, Jesus answered the scribes and Pharisees saying, “an evil and adulterous generation seeketh after signs, and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah.

Now many a times after God has called us to a certain purpose, we tend to look at the lying vanities. (The cares of life) looking to these, we cannot fulfill our purpose or destiny in life. While looking to the lying vanities, we end up in the belly of the fish. We get swallowed up by these situations which drags and keeps us down. Our deliverance comes when in the mist of those difficulties we decide to make a turnaround to answer God’s purpose concerning our life as pleases God, choosing to do his will in the mist of the challenges. Then thanking him as though we are already accomplished His will. When we pray according to God’s will, God answers speedily. His mercy and favour and grace operate in us and the environment we are.

Many observe lying vanities therefore they forsake the mercy of God, no one can observe lying vanities and serve God at the same time. When we focus on God, when we seek His kingdom and righteousness every other thing is added unto us. Forsake the lying vanities and focus on God’s purpose for your life

Experience Life Abundance In Christ.
