What do you offer God? Do you offer the best of what you have? Or the worst in your store, Or what is of no use to you any longer. While Abel offered a pleasing offering to God by faith, it was accounted that he pleased God. Let’s talk about the widow who offered two small coins to God in offering while the rich gave even more. As Jesus watched them he said, to his disciples that the poor widow had given more than others – she gave two small coins all she had to live on, not minding she had little or nothing to live on, she went ahead to give to God. How many of us are willing to give up little pleasures of life to give others who have little or nothing to leave on. How many of us are willing to give proportionately according to how God has blessed us? How many of us are willing to give without grudges? How many of us are willing to just give? How many of us are willing to give up all we have, the little we have to please God? Let’s learn from this exemplary widow the act of giving even when we have little or nothing left to live on. Mark 12:43 – 44; “ Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said,’I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others’. They all gave out of their wealth, but she , out of her poverty, put in everything – all she had to live on”.
